Can you believe it’s Wednesday already?! I feel like it’s barely Tuesday! In any case, I’ve got a brand new bible journaling process video for ya! I’m working on session one from the new Illustrated Faith devotional kit Only One You.
I love the look of this month’s kit- no surprise- Shanna’s team at DaySpring is amazing! And for today’s entry I’m in Jeremiah 1:5,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Of course, God is very clearly speaking to Jeremiah in this verse but I certainly don’t think He only knew the days He planned for Jeremiah. In fact, you and I and that not-so-savory neighbor of yours were all lovingly hand-crafted by our Creator and Sustainer! Amazing!
To create this entry I pulled the new All People All Nations 6×12 sticker sheet. The colors and patterns are a great match for this month’s kit. And of course, wordfetti is always a yes! To highlight my verse I used the Dark Naples Ochre big brush pen from Faber Castell. (I also pulled colors Middle Purple Pink, Cinnamon and Phthalo Blue to go along with the devo kit.)
I’ve been itching to use this new stencil from Tim Holtz and love the cool backdrop it created for today’s entry. I used Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry and a mini ink blending tool to get a great stencil impression.
I decided to save my journaling for later and do that off camera. But I’ve got a great foundation and probably won’t add anything else after my handwriting.
It took me about 15 minutes of not second-guessing myself (which I’m trying to be better about) to complete this entry. Oh, and also not searching for forever to find just the right supply. It only took me a coupe of minutes to inventory the things already on or near my desk before I got started. Progress! π
If you haven’t already picked up this month’s devotional kit, you can find it here and be sure to use code FAITH25 for 25% off site wide (expires 4/9/18).
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great rest of your week!
