100 Days of Bible Promises Round Up | Days 1-7

Hey, friend! I’m starting a fun new Monday series where I share a round up of the week’s past 100 Days project. As you may know, I’m journaling through Shanna Noel’s book 100 Days of Bible Promises every day for the next 100 days!

Here’s a peek at the book (you can find it here). Since this photo I’ve had mine coil bound (at Office Depot it cost about $4) and I’m so pleased with that decision! It lays flat and makes it super easy to journal in and photograph.

Speaking of photographs- let’s get to sharing my first seven days of this project!

Every day this week I’ve reached for the downloadable collage papers that came with the book when purchased via DaySpring. I also used the items I pulled for this project (you can view my prep video here) which helped narrow down my decision making time and increased my creating time. Funny how that works out 😉

For this page I used the washi from the new Only One You devotional kit, aqua alpha stickers from Studio Calico, the Illustrated Faith Words sticker book and enamel hearts.

Those big black paint splatters were a total face palm moment. I used Liquitex acrylic black ink and it totally seeped into several pages behind this one-whoops! The best way to get over the fear of “ruining the book” is to just mess up on day one 🙂 Now I’m free to enjoy the process for the next ninety-nine days.

On day two I used those same Studio Calico alphas, the Homespun alpha stamps, more collage papers, the black cross washi tape and some Faber Castell brush pens for some fun art marks.

For the next couple of days I decided to photograph my pages before I added journaling. I used the Bella Blvd puffy wonky alpha stickers, the same wordfetti and black cross washi and the Dark Naples Ochre big brush pen.

At this point I had found my groove working in the book- pulling out one word for each day’s promise and embellishing based on the theme or color of the page.

4.100

Day four’s promise talked about being still and I was so still that I don’t think I ever added my journaling for this page- whoops! I used a bunch of enamel hearts, Studio Calico alphas, the new Tiny Colorful Alpha sticker book from Illustrated Faith and a couple bits from the Fruit of the Spirit 6×12 sticker sheet.

5.100

Day five kind of stumped me. I had a lot of room to journal but didn’t end up using it. Instead I filled that space with the Faber Castell brush pens. See that “made to shine” sticker smack dab in the middle of the page? It’s one of the digital downloads that you receive for free when purchasing the Only One You devotional kit from DaySpring.

I have loved incorporating pieces from that kit onto my pages this week! My friend Tamara Arcilla also inspired me to pull out some older kit pieces so I reached for some leftovers from the Created to Create 2 devotional kit 🙂

6.100

Day six might be my favorite entry yet! I used a Kaisercraft stencil to get that grey circle down on the bottom and immediately didn’t like it. Then I kept pulling paper pieces from the Faith Over Fear line from Illustrated Faith, Print & Pray pieces from Elaine Davis, enamel hearts and those alpha stickers from Studio Calico.

To finish off the entry I used Faber Castell brush pens in Pink Madder Lake and Light Green.

Day seven included Colossians 3:23 which says,

Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for man. (HCSB)

I remembered Jessica Robyn’s beautiful Print & Pray set Overflowing With Grace and knew I wanted to use it for this page. I also used bit’s from Shanna Noel’s Print & Pray set Because He Lives, and pieces from the Fruit of the Spirit 6×12 sticker sheet.

If you’ve made it this far- thank you! You deserve a reward.

I’ll continue to share my 100 Days pages and hope they might even inspire you! If you have any questions I’m happy to answer them. Just leave me a comment below 🙂

See you Wednesday!

❤ Jillian

  1. Enjoy kooking at your pages and how you share on each… I believe each Bible verse was prayed over for those who have the journal.. encourages our day as we dwell on our entry.
Sorry to hear losing your friend. 😢.
    Thanks, Susan

  2. What size of coil did you use and recommend for the 100 days journals? Love your journals!
