Gratitude Documented 2020 | Days 6-11

Alright, we are cruising right into mid-November and Gratitude Documented- yay!

This week I’m sharing my gratitude MemoryDex cards for days six through eleven. I can’t get over the timeliness of some of these prompts, but more on that later… πŸ™‚ Let’s get started!

Day 6:

Patience | Hebrews 6:12

For day six I wanted to go a bit taller than the other cards in my box and use this bit of acetate that I’ve been hoarding waiting to use. I shared a process video showing how I made the lazy gal’s acetate pocket on the front of my card to hold a little journaling card + prayer. You can watch how it came together here.

I used lots of pieces from the Marigold collection from Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper for this card along with pieces from the Illustrated Faith kit, like those alpha stickers, leaves and labels.

Day 7:

Blessings | Psalm 128:1-2

The blessings prompt came at a wonderful time! This weekend we had a late-in-the-season, surprise tropical storm which flooded our street and knocked our power out. It was a great opportunity to keep me focused on the innumerable blessings from the Lord in the midst of an uncomfortable, inconvenient and soggy weekend.

Also, three journaling lines on the back of this card is way too few!

Day 8:

Grace | John 1:17

Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved

I kept things on the simple side for day eight (see previously mentioned surprise tropical storm) and used elements from the Illustrated Faith Print & Pray Shop and Crate Paper Marigold collection.

Day 9:

Mercy | Psalm 145:9

I loved this quote about the meaning of mercy from Jen Wilkin, from her book In His Image (highly recommend it!!) It was a helpful lens through which to consider how to respond to God’s great gift of mercy ❀

For this card I used several pieces from Shawna Clingerman’s Print & Pray set Gratitude Essentials alongside the Crate Paper Marigold collection.

Day 10:

Forgiveness | 1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, he isΒ faithful and just to forgive us our sins andΒ to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

SO grateful for forgiveness, another prompt where one little card just can’t hold it all πŸ™‚

For this card I used older Illustrated Faith kit pieces from my stash and bits from Crate Paper’s Fresh Bouquet collection– who could resist those florals?!

Day 11:

Growth | 2 Peter 3:18

Day eleven’s prompt warms my heart. It makes me think of that Max Lucado that goes something like, God loves you just the way you are, but loves you too much to leave you that way…

I’m grateful that God is so hands-on in our lives, despite ourselves. Anyone else? πŸ™‚

I pulled out the foam adhesive again and turned my camera on to share how this card came together. You can watch the process here πŸ™‚

And that’s it for this week! If you’d like to join us for Gratitude Documented you can download the free prompt list here. I hope to be back next week to share days 12 through…well, we’ll see!
