Hiya, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I’ve got a new process video for ya using #Goals, the new Illustrated Faith devotional kit from DaySpring.
To prepare for this entry I read the suggested verse on the card, Matthew 17:20.
So Jesus said to them, ” Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
After I read that I immediately resonated with the disciples’ plea to Jesus in Luke 17, increase my faith! From there I studied a bit more (loved this article from desiringGod.org) and came to learn that ultimately, it’s not the quantity of my faith but the power of God. I contemplated journaling this entry in Luke 17, and maybe I should have, but whether it’s mountains or mulberry trees, God is the one moving them. (insert praise hands here 🙂
Next up, supplies! I stuck to mostly kit supplies, basic tools and a few Neocolors. And coffee. Always coffee. (I’ve got an unboxing video if you want to see what’s included in this month’s kit.) The Neocolors pictured are, from left to right, Pink, Mauve, Saffron and Purple, although I ended up not using the saffron color.
I also like to use white acrylic paint to “prep” my page for the Neocolor crayons. Honestly, I have no idea how to properly use these things I just keep it messy and fun, but I find that the white paint makes the color appear more pigmented on the page.
I used some alpha stickers from my stash to help build my title and went to town with the stickers. #allthestickers I actually purchased an additional kit because I saw myself going through this one quite quickly 🙂
To see how this page came together you can watch my process here. We would love to have you join the community as we work through this devotional together! You can pick up the kit here.
I hope hump day is treating you well and I will see you Friday for a fun new series coming to my YouTube channel and blog!
