You guys! I am so excited to share #GOALS, the new Illustrated Faith devotional kit from DaySpring with you today! What better way to kick off the weekend, amiright?! I didn’t mind the delay between kit releases this month because it gave us more time to process what the Lord has taught us in 2017 before jumping right in to plan-making and goal-setting for the new year. And, my whole family was sick for the last three weeks so I was not about to attempt a new exercise routine/bible reading plan/learn to speak Japanese while up to my elbows in #allthegerms π
Anywho, let’s get to this BEAUTIFUL kit. I’ve got an unboxing video on my YouTube channel if you’d like to see “in person” what the kit contents look like and what coordinating products I’ve pulled from my stash. Or you can just keep reading π
As I read through the devotional cards I found myself nodding and repeating “amen, amen!” In each session we’re reminded of God’s power and love and encouraged to anchor our hopes, dreams and goals in Him. I’m looking forward to working slowly through each session, digging into His Word and letting the Holy Spirit illuminate areas of my life that need a refresh.
So excited about these clear stickers-they’ll be great for building titles!
And those stamps and washi! π
I sat down while watching Heather’s Instagram Live to go through my stash and select some coordinating supplies. I just love these plastic bins (trays?) from Dollar Tree for corralling all of the supplies I want to remember to use throughout the devo.
I was especially inspired by all of the beautiful artwork included on this month’s devotional cards and that’s how I decided which mediums I’d like to use.
First up, Neocolors! For those who are unfamiliar they are water-soluble crayons, like watercolor crayons but nicer. They can be kinda pricey, but I like to purchase colors individually that I know I’ll use instead of a big pack with like, 12 different shades of brown π Fortunately, Illustrated Faith’s products and kits tend to use a lot of the same colors so once you have a handful of those you’re good to go! The colors I selected are, from left to right, Purple, Mauve, Greenish Blue, and Pink.
Moving clockwise from the Neocolors are acrylic paints. I see a lot of messy, painterly pages in my future this month π From left to right I chose Deep Sea Blue (from Anita’s acrylics available at Hobby Lobby), Jade (Handmade Modern satin paint from Target), the Rose color from the Illustrated Faith acrylic paint set and Heather (also from Target).
And then there was washi. From left to right I’ve pulled the Illustrated Faith highlighter washi, a succulent washi from an older IF devotional kit which is no longer available, the black cross washi, a painterly aqua washi from one of those multipacks, the pink cross washi from Illustrated Faith, a new grid washi from the Target Dollar Spot (err, Bullseye’s Playground) that I loooove and finally, the Well With My Soul washi also from Illustrated Faith.
I’ve got a couple other staples thrown in, like alpha stickers and numbers (to label my entries), enamel hearts and die cuts. You can see how I incorporate it all in my upcoming process videos!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and if you haven’t already be sure to grab the newΒ #GOALS devotional kit so we can work through it together!
