Hey, friends! It has been quite a while since I’ve posted on here. When I was pregnant with my second little one I had to let this space go, but now I’m considering sharing here regularly-ish again 🙂
A lot has changed since I last posted here (like a new child!) so I thought it would be fun to share a few roundups of what I’ve been enjoying lately. Sound good? Great!
Most recently I’ve been experimenting with (and loving!) a gel plate. It is SO fun! Below you can follow my progression in “proficiency” with these new-to-me tools in the following videos:
- Creative Play | My first attempt with the plate, paint and brayer was…interesting. I got to blend some beautiful colors though and break in some new Illustrated Faith butterfly stamps. Win-win.
2. Salvaging My Creative Play | That time I tried to use my gel plate in my Bible journaling, but things didn’t go as planned. Instead I turned trash into…well, you’ll just have to check it out! 😀
3. Bible Journaling with Gel Plates & Neocolors | OK, so I think I finally have the hang of this gel plate thing. AND I got to play with neocolor water soluble crayons (which I need to do more!)
4. Word Nerd Traveler’s Notebook Process | I love Word Nerd from Illustrated Faith and decided to document this year’s words in a TN! I’m using similar techniques from my previous gel plate Bible page, this time in my traveler’s notebook insert 🙂
I’ll be sure to share more gel plate adventures here. It is SO fun and I’m H-O-O-K-E-D! What new-to-you techniques or tools are you experimenting with?
See you soon!
❤ Jillian
P.S. For more information about Word Nerd head here.
Check these out for my favorite traveler’s notebook inserts!
I picked up my brayer and gel plate here.
And my favorite neocolor source is here. I might want to pick up some new colors soon. Which ones should I get??
