Happy Wednesday, friends! This week I’m reprising my “I’m not calling it a series, journaling the fruits of the Spirit…series” and journaling about goodness.
I’m in Matthew 5:16, at the beginning of Jesus’ sermon on the mount, where he says,
“…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
The goodness that the Holy Spirit produces in us, that we have the pleasure of displaying, isn’t about being good for the sake of being good. It’s goodness for the benefit of others. In this case of this verse, it’s to point others to our awesome heavenly Father!
For the base of this page I used Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber and applied them with an ink blending tool through a Dina Wakley stencil. Then I used the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set to add another layer under my journaling spot.
I pulled pieces from the Fruit of the Spirit tip ins and tile alphas from the Print & Pray Shop to create my title.
I topped the page with a tab and some wordfetti, enamel hearts and voila!
Next I’ll add my journaling and a date stamp 🙂
If you’d like to watch how this page came together, check out the process video here. 🙂 I’ve only got a few more fruits to journal and would love your input! Which mediums should I use next? Leave your ideas in the comments below and if I have them I’ll incorporate them on my page 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week! See you soon!
