Hymnal Journaling Collab with Creative Faith & Co.

Hey, friend! Today I’m collaborating with Hillary of Creative Faith & Co. to share a new hymnal art page! We exchanged supplies and decided to journal in the hymn “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”.

***Please forgive the audio issue that occurs about 2 minutes into the video. I am not able to fix it today, but it will clear up by the 2:30 minute mark. I hope you can bear with me or simply skip that section. Thank you!***

You can watch my process video here and I hope you will head to her channel and subscribe! She features bible journaling, hymnal journaling and traveler’s notebook process videos in English and Spanish on her channel (which is the coolest!)

She is a sweetheart so please go give her some love here. 🙂

In the video I showed what she sent in her care package and picked up on a yellow and pink theme. Then I looked to my stash to see what I could also use. One thing I chose to incorporate were the clear cuts from the Illustrated Faith Bright & Brave collection.

I often hear of people purchasing these when they’re on sale and then say “now what?” For this page I chose to cut a wonky heart from the yellow transparent sheet and layer that under the alphabet stickers and die cut.

Another fun piece that Hillary included in her parcel was a card from an older devotional kit. While I didn’t/couldn’t paint for today’s entry, I chose to recreate the look with the highlighter washi tape. Then I layered some die cut pieces and added my journaling. I topped off the entry with the Studio Calico mega date stamp and that’s it!

You can see how the page came together here and don’t forget to check out Hillary’s video here.

Have a great rest of your week and I’ll see you soon with some fun Gratitude Documented projects!

❤ Jillian
