He is making all things new! I’m so excited to work through the next Illustrated Faith devotional kit from DaySpring, All Things New! Wanna take a peek at the kit?! Check out my unboxing video here.
Wanna see what I pulled from my stash to coordinate with the kit? Keep reading, friend!
Again, I keep all of my kit contents in this handy plastic bin from Dollar Tree. It’s just so helpful to have everything together, because I would forget that I wanted to use that particular thing for that session 3 entry. Trust me.
Here’s a peek at some of the devotional cards– 8 sessions in this kit and man are they great! And, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I just started reading If You Only Knew by Jamie Ivey which is all about how God can take our brokenness and make something truly beautiful. Something new. But more on this read later π
I see a lot of triangles in my future. I just love the geometric-ness of this kit and plan to put them everywhere. I pulled these ink pads from my stash, maybe not an exact match, but close enough.
Clockwise, from the top A Beautiful Mess dye ink, Studio Calico Color Theory pigment ink in Lavender Soda, Illustrated Faith coral ink, Kelly Purkey dye inks.
*note: these dye inks WILL BLEED THROUGH your bible pages. That doesn’t really bother me so I use them occasionally. Be sure to test all new mediums on one of the blank or weights and measures pages in the back of your bible!
On the left is the stamp set included with the kit and on the right is the Illustrated Faith Elements stamp set. The triangles on the devotional cards and tip ins have some marks on them and I thought this stamp set would help achieve that look too! It’s just a great basic stamp set to have in your toolbox π
Next up, paint! I’m using mostly Target handmade modern acrylic paints along with some inexpensive craft paint. I’m using the colors Satin Candy Apple, Satin Heather and Satin Lavender.
And finally, washi. I picked my most neutral geometric washi tapes figuring they would look great with the cards in the kit! From left to right is the Well With My Soul washi, an older Illustrated Faith dot washi, the colorful triangle washi from the kit, a grid tape from the Target dollar spot and a scribbly washi from MAMBI.
I am SO EXCITED to work through this kit because I know firsthand that God is in the business of transforming lives and giving new hearts to those that have placed their faith in Christ. I am pumped to see a community of women (and some men too π remember that He restores lives and creates new people and that is news too good not to share! Want to join us? Pick up your kit here and let’s go!
