Hey, friend! Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤ Today’s entry and process video are actually not about Valentine’s at all, so if you’re so ready for this holiday to be over- you’re in luck! And if you are all about Valentine’s day, that’s cool. I got married on February 14th. And maybe you’ll wanna check out these lovey-dovey bible journaling process videos. There is something for everyone here 😉
Anywho, for today’s entry I’m in 1 Peter 4:10,
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (NIV)
I love the digital set Elaine Davis created this month for the Illustrated Faith Print & Pray Shop. I mean, red and yellow heart undies?! I’ll admit I was scratching my head when I first saw them. But if you’re going to put underwear in your bible, this just might be the perfect spot!
Peter encourages us to love each other by serving one another. He reminds us that we have received gifts. The Holy Spirit is awesome that way, right? And they’re all different.
I ended up reading after verse 10 and loved what verse 11 says as well.
“If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11 (NIV)
Serving others for God’s glory and not our own is a feeling like no other. Because when we glorify Him we are living out our purpose and oh man, there is nothing like it! But I know you know that! 🙂
I had so much fun creating this entry and I hope you’ll watch the process video to see how it came together! And I hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
❤ Jillian
